SOLANA was founded in 1950.  Throughout the years, leadership is passed on to children and grandchildren.  Hence, our company has a long family tradition in which a lot of professional knowledge is grown and passed on.

We process and trade technical textiles.  This kind of textile is mostly used in industrial applications and have to withstand e.g. a certain temperature, tensile force or chemical conditions.  Or for filters they need to have a specific permeability and particle retention.

We love challenges and everything me make is thought out.  Which materials meet the requirements?  But which have the best ROI (Return on Investment)?  Which yarn we use for stitching, with what type of seams and with what kind of machine?  Or would we rather seal the seams?  Everyone working here shares this same passion: it has to be perfect.

We are equipped with our own high-performance machinery.  This enables us to be very flexible towards the needs of our customers and to offer multiple possibilities.  At the same time we are in full control over the production process and able to maintain the highest standards.  Therefore, we can make (almost) everything, also - and foremost - all that's not standard.

Progressiveness is part of our DNA.  Since the early 1980s we cut our textiles using laser technology.  And in the early 1990s we developped in-house our own administrative computer programs, being ahead of their time for years.  Later better platforms became available to which we then switched.  In more recent times we developped our website and later linked it with the webshop you're currently visiting.
