A pulse jet filter house removes the filter cake from the filter by periodically propelling a pulse of compressed air in the opposite direction.
Filtration happens from the outside of the filter sleeve towards the inside (the filter membrane is therefore located at the outside of the sleeve).
The sleeve is usually round bottomed. Mostly, the seam on top has a snapring.
Inside the filter sleeve or filter bag there's a filter cage to support the filter during the filtration cycle.
The filter sleeves and bags are most common made out of needle felt.
